Carol Press' practice includes the representation of corporations and individuals in various types of commercial disputes, including employment, insurance, securities, bankruptcy and environmental matters. Carol was a former law clerk to the Honorable Joseph S. Lord, III, of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

Representative Matters
  • After being retained to handle the appeal of a case handled by California counsel, obtained reversal of a $4 million punitive damages award that had been entered against our clients;
  • Represented an attorney and members of the attorney’s family in cases brought by creditors of the attorney’s former client after the former client went into bankruptcy;
  • Represented a chemical company in the first case in which the federal government was found liable as a responsible party under the environmental laws based on its World War II activities at the site;
  • Represented a pharmaceutical company in a class action brought by third party payors who had purchased a medication for their insureds that was later withdrawn from the market;
  • Represented a local manufacturer in cases brought after a zoning enforcement notice was issued to the manufacturer based on complaints by residents about noise at its plant.
