James Morrison Joins the Washington, DC Office of Eckert Seamans

Eckert Seamans Cherin and Mellott, LLC, a full-service national law firm, is pleased to announce that James E. Morrison has joined the firm’s immigration practice as a Member, effective August 2, 2010. He will be based in the firm’s Washington, DC office. Mr. Morrison joins the firm from Segal McCambridge Singer & Mahoney, Ltd., where he was Of Counsel.

Mr. Morrison advises clients in a variety of international industries and disciplines on domestic and global immigration related issues including, among others, inbound and outbound compliance, worldwide movement of personnel, mergers and acquisitions, document retention compliance, government audits and raids, and legislative matters. He has represented Fortune 500 companies, investors, foreign diplomats, private foundations, professional athletes, musicians, artists, entertainers and celebrities.

Active in the profession, Mr. Morrison is a member of the American Bar Association Advisory Panel, Labor and Employment and International Law sections and the Immigration Law Committee; the American Immigration Lawyers Association; the Federal Bar Association; and the Society for Human Resources Management.

Mr. Morrison earned his J.D. from the Pace University School of Law and his undergraduate degree from Radford University.
