The 2011 edition of Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business recognized the firm for excellence in numerous practice area categories; eight of the firm’s lawyers have been ranked by their peers and clients as leaders in their respective fields, including Bankruptcy/Restructuring, Intellectual Property, Leisure & Hospitality, Environment and General Commercial Litigation. Eckert Seamans’ Intellectual Property department was recently ranked among the 2010 Top 150 Patent Firms in the country by IP Law Today, based on the number of patents issued on behalf of clients (281 total patents in 2009, including 247 utility patents and 34 design patents). The firm was also counted among the Top 150 Trademark Firms, based on the number of trademarks issued on behalf of clients (321 in 2009).
