Gaston P. Loomis, II, an Associate in Eckert Seamans’ Bankruptcy and Restructuring Group, recently earned a post-baccalaureate certificate in Finance and Accounting from The University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton Programs for Working Professionals (WPWP), part of the Aresty Institute for Executive Education.
The WPWP Finance and Accounting Certificate program provides working professionals with the fundamentals of financial management using the resources of the Wharton School, one of the world's recognized leaders in business and finance. The language of finance, how to analyze costs, and how to present ideas in terms that speak to the economic business drivers of an organization, are just some of the many skills taught in the program.
Loomis focuses his practice on bankruptcy and creditors’ rights and concentrates much of his current practice on representing a large insurer in various aspects of the bankruptcy process. He also has experience in commercial law and commercial litigation. Loomis earned his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law and his undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Georgia.
